The Scenes from Childhood paintings and drawings were inspired by and created for a performance of Robert Schumann’s 13 piano compositions Scenes from Childhood Op.15.

Why lichens? Lichens look interesting in a peculiar and spectacular way; there is amazing design potential. They live in a wide variety of environments, including harsh ones; they are tenacious in an awe inspiring way.
