A Place in the Kingdom includes 50 original paintings by Lynda Toews and 22 stories contributed by Manitoba Mennonites who grew up on farms. The stories and paintings are intended to evoke contemplation of the divinely designed beauty, intelligence, individuality, and loyalty of farm animals and of the love that can exist in the human/animal relationship. The intent is also to connect the generations as well as rural and urban people.

Toews has degrees in Fine Arts (Honours) and Education. Her involvement in the arts includes teaching, writing curriculum, and having her art accepted in various publications, juried and group exhibitions and solo shows.

Plan to join us at the opening on Sunday, March 15 at 2:30. Come ready to share your stories.
